SAFESCHOOLS training courses
for 2014-15 will be released on June 15, 2014! SAFESCHOOLS will
notify you by e-mail when they are available. Courses required for all
employees include:
- Fire Extinguisher Safety
- Blood-borne Pathogen Exposure Prevention
- Child Abuse: Identification and Prevention and Resources
- Acceptable Use Policy Course
- Sexual Harassment
Additionally, certain groups
of employees will be required to complete the Student Mental Health
and Resources course.
You will receive an e-mail
from SAFESCHOOLS in your SBISD e-mail account telling you which trainings you
will be required to complete for the 2014-2015 school year. Wait until
you receive that email before you complete the training so that you receive
credit for completing the course for 2014-2015.
The link to SAFESCHOOLS will
be in the e-mail and you will log in with
your SBISD user name and password. Should you have any issues completing
the online training, please contact Safety and Risk Management at 713-251-2317.
Completing this training
over the summer is entirely your option.
We hope that having this training available earlier will allow you more time
for student and classroom preparation at the beginning of the school
year.
