A New Classroom at Guthrie, Completed Work Orders and More

The SBISD Facilities Division is excited to have played an active role in preparing the new classroom students will use as part of a new electrical apprentice program in Spring Branch ISD.

The classroom, housed at The Guthrie Center, was designed to meet industry specifications and the needs of the newly implemented T-2-4 program.

The program, a partnership between SBISD, Houston Community College and TRIO Electric, a local electrical services company, celebrated its first cohort of students earlier this month.

Additionally, SBISD Facilities: 
  • Completed 3,000+ work orders last school year 
  • Participated in an energy management and reduction program resulting in a $100,000 financial benefit to the SBISD General Fund 
  • Performed 150+ surplus pickups over the summer 
  • Performed 50+ teacher moves over the summer
