SBISD is sharing how campuses are celebrating Computer Science Education Week and Hour of Code to increase community engagement and excitement in STEM related activities here! We encourage community volunteers to come join in the fun and become Code Buddies today!
Have you registered your Hour of Code activity? This year’s Hour of Code week takes place December 4-10. You can register your school’s activity here. Over 24,400 events have already been registered for this year’s coding event!
Hour of Code takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week and focuses on ensuring every student has the access and opportunity to learn computer science. Coding activities nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity. Participation is easy. Check out the official Hour of Code How-to-Guide here.
Or, are you a veteran Hour of Code educator looking for new ideas? Visit the Hour of Code website and browse over 200 tutorials and lesson plans for a variety of age and skill levels.
