Important Information About Make-up Days

MAKE-UP DAYS FOR JANUARY 24TH AND JANUARY 28TH BAD WEATHER DAYS

The 2013-2014 Academic Calendar was amended by the Board of Trustees to address the two recent bad weather days. Students will attend one additional school day, June 5, under the amended calendar.

Make-up days for employees whose last duty day is prior to June 30th will be as follows:

Add 2 days to end of Duty Year (examples of positions):

• Campus employees other than teachers
• Bus Drivers
• CNS staff
• Employees must work on June 5th , but may choose to use compensatory time, personal days, or be docked instead of working the other make-up day(s).

Add 1 day to end of Duty Year:

• Crossing Guards

Teachers will make up these two missed days as follows:

• Thursday, June 5, will be a school day for students and teachers
• Friday, June 6, will be a Staff Development Day
• Saturday, June 7, will be a Workday

Make-up days for employees whose last duty day is June 30th will be as follows:

Non-exempt employees (eligible for comp time or overtime) may use:

• Vacation
• Non-duty days
• Compensatory time
• Personal Days, or
• Choose to be docked Exempt employees (not eligible for comp time or overtime pay) may:
          • work outside of regular duty hours, or
          • use accrued vacation, non-duty days, or personal days.

The form must be submitted to the employee’s supervisor by March 31, 2014.
