DonorsChoose.org and Chervon's Fuel Your School - Submit Your Project TODAY!

Up to $1 million is available for eligible classroom projects in Harris County! Dear SBISD Educators, This fall, Chevron’s Fuel Your School program will support public education in Harris County schools (K-12) by helping educators receive funding for eligible classroom projects through DonorsChoose.org, an online charity that organizes funding for schools across the country. Here’s how you can apply:

• Teachers and administrators are invited to post a project for up to $2,000 on DonorsChoose.org from September 1 to November 30. Note that the earlier you post your project, the better your chance is to receive funding.
• Visit Fuel Your School Houston for program details, official rules and more.
• According to DonorsChoose.org requirements, teachers with 4 or more points can request up to $2,000 in materials, and all other teachers can request up to $800 in materials. This means that to qualify for Fuel Your School, the total price of the items in your cart, excluding any shipping costs or fees, should be $2,000 or less for teachers with 4 or more points or $800 or less for all other teachers.
• For Jason Project teachers --- Chevron has collaborated with DonorsChoose.org to offer a comprehensive slate of Jason Project supplies as a part of the 2013 Fuel Your School program.
