It’s almost time to shop for your benefits!
Spring Enrollment is April 22 – May 24.
IMPORTANT: Your current benefits will roll over to the new plan year. If you want to keep your benefit elections the same as they are now, you do not have to log in and enroll. EXCEPTION: flexible spending accounts (medical or dependent care) require annual enrollment.** NOTICE TO ACTIVECARE 1 PARTICIPANTS ** Beginning September 1, 2013, ActiveCare 1 will no longer be an option.
If you are currently enrolled in ActiveCare 1 you will automatically be rolled over to ActiveCare 1-HD unless you log in to THEbenefitsHUB and make a new election. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Is ActiveCare 1-HD right for me?
If you are considering switching plans to ActiveCare 1-HD, make sure you understand the way the plan is designed.Because it is a high deductible plan with no copays, you will not begin receiving benefits from the plan until after you have met the deductible, which means that if you are enrolled in the employee only plan you can expect to pay at least $2,400 towards medical costs before the plan kicks in.
Use the chart linked below to help you analyze possible claims and how each plan might pay benefits in different hypothetical scenarios.
Sample Claim Comparisons
When considering plan options, keep in mind that while ActiveCare 1-HD does not have copays, it does have a high deductible that you are required to meet before the plan begins paying benefits, which means you will be required to pay 100% of your healthcare costs until your deductible is met.
