Spring Enrollment begins April 22.
IMPORTANT: Your current benefits will roll over to the new plan year. If you want to keep your benefit elections the same as they are now, you do not have to log in and enroll. EXCEPTION: flexible spending accounts (medical or dependent care) require annual enrollment.** NOTICE TO ACTIVECARE 1 PARTICIPANTS
** Beginning September 1, 2013, ActiveCare 1 will no longer be an option.
If you are currently enrolled in ActiveCare 1 you will automatically be rolled over to ActiveCare 1-HD unless you log in to THEbenefitsHUB and make a new election.
Changes to TRS-ActiveCare Plan Design Some of the deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, and copays have changed.

Employee Rates Effective September 1, 2013, ActiveCare 1-HD (high deductible) will be the most affordable plan for Spring Branch employees.
If you are considering switching plans to ActiveCare 1-HD, make sure you understand the way the plan is designed. Look for upcoming communications from the benefits department for help in determining if the high deductible plan is right for you.

Other Benefit Changes
Vision: We have negotiated increased benefits with our current vision provider (United Healthcare) at the same rates as last year. Beginning 9/1/13, your contact lens allowance will be increased and your polycarbonate and anti-reflective lenses will be covered at 100% when purchased in-network.Disability: Our disability rates will increase beginning 9/1/13.
